1. Acceptance of these terms
Welcome to SpodEnglish.com (“the Site”), operated by Robert Spoden (“we”, “us”), based in Turkey. By using the Site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. What the Site offers
The Site provides interactive English exercises, quizzes and learning materials covering grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, business English and exam preparation. Most content is free to use. We may add paid products or memberships in the future, which may have their own terms.
3. Educational purpose only
The materials are provided for general educational use. We work to keep them accurate, but we do not guarantee that they are free from errors. The Site is not an official exam centre and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any examination body (such as Cambridge, IELTS or TOEFL). Practising with our exercises does not guarantee any particular result in a real exam.
4. Your use of the Site
You may use the Site for personal learning and for teaching, including using our exercises in your own lessons. You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape or republish large parts of the Site’s content without permission
- Sell our content or present it as your own
- Interfere with the Site’s operation, security or other users’ access
- Use automated tools to harvest content or data
- Use the Site for anything unlawful
5. Intellectual property
The exercises, texts, audio, images, logo and design on the Site are owned by us or used under license, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Except where stated otherwise, all rights are reserved.
You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with a clear credit and link back to the Site. For any other reuse, please ask for written permission at robert.spoden@gmail.com.
6. Teachers and classroom use
Teachers may use the exercises in class, share links with students and display the Site on a screen. Printing a few pages for your own students is fine. Distributing our materials to other teachers, schools or websites in bulk is not allowed without permission.
7. User contributions
If you post comments or send us content, you remain the owner, but you give us permission to display it on the Site. You are responsible for what you post. We may remove content that is offensive, unlawful, misleading or spam.
8. Third-party links, ads and affiliate links
The Site may contain links to other websites, advertisements and affiliate links. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. If you buy through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
9. Availability of the Site
We try to keep the Site available at all times, but we do not promise that it will always be free of interruptions or errors. We may change, suspend or remove content or features at any time.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content, including errors in the materials or interruptions of service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including any rights you have as a consumer.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. By continuing to use the Site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Istanbul, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.
